just busted? - feb 18 '08

"Together we can."
"Yes we can."

We can copy another dudes speech, and campaign slogan? Funny.

In other news, the train has left the station, heading towards smear town. The stories are beginning to surface on how the republicans are going to go after Obama. He has ties to Rezco, which we have already heard, but also William Ayers, the terrorist from the 60's. Obama is also linked to Rashid Khalidi, Middle East Professor at Columbia University and PLO activist. There is also an increase of concern in his church, and the pastors ties to Farrakhan, which I am sure the republicans can use against him, with his other connections.

"Feelings of hope and inspiration about Obama will evaporate when the commercials tying him to a convicted felon slumlord, an unrepentant terrorist who hates the troops, and a Professor of Middle Eastern Studies who has been a PLO official spouting anti-Israeli rhetoric."

That is my big fear, should Obama be the nominee. He is going to be shredded, and we could lose to McCain.

Look out! Trains a comin'!

Hillary 08

p.s after I posted this, and reread, something occured to me. There is such adamant support for Obama by his supporters. They scream and cry foul when someone mentions his middle name, or question his church/pastor, or try to understand Obama's relationship to Rezco or Ayers or whoever. How are they so 100% positive in his *purity*?

I mean, there are some people who think Obama is a manchurian candidate, planted in the US to take over, yada yada. I do not believe that is true, at all. But, I wonder how Obama supporters are so sure that he does not harbor some anti-semantic views, or that he secretely dislikes gays, or that he did attend a mosque as a child, but became a christian for politcal motives. I mean... there is such devout faith in this guy, I find it odd.

Obama was born to a muslim father, his step father was a muslim. A baby born to a jewish mother is, by definition a jew, I read on Jewish Week (is that true or not?). As is a muslim, born to a muslim father. But Obama supporters scream he is not muslim, as if Obama should be ashamed of it, or is trying to hide it.

As an adult, Obama joined a christian church, however, one that is Afro-centric, has been questioned for its racist tone, and his pastor has his own share of questionable comments. The Church awarded Farrakhan, a racist, and anti-semite, with a lifetime humanitarian award. Of all the churches in America, what was it about that church that appealed to him?

Obama has associated with an anti-american government terrorist, and a PLO member. His rally in SC was headlined by gay bigots. So, Obama has some questionable associates, to say the least, that should make the average person at least pause, and try to find out who this guy is. But, Obama supporters just seem to accept him on faith alone.

And again, I am not saying he is some evil manchurian candidate, sent here to destroy america. I just find it interesting that there are direct associations between Obama and some unseemingly characters, but that does not seem to phase Obama supporters. They prefer to call it all lies. Or blame Hillary for killing Vince Foster.

I don't know. It just made me wonder. (I left a long reply to the comments in the comment section.)
